BMW SCT 800
Do we need an 800cc step through? According to MCN, BMW thinks we do. Now, this is coming from MCN, the same people who keep telling us all about Honda's new VFR so take it for what it's worth. Apparently the new superscoot has a 4 valve, 800cc twin and 16" hoops. I can't wait to see the price tag on this one and it's "large range of exclusive accessories".
I like scooters. In fact, I think they're kind of awesome. I just can't see a monster like this stacking up favorably to the likes of an ABS equipped Burgman 400. I certainly can't see it coming in at a reasonable price point. We'll see what happens if it's actually released.
It should also be mentioned that Oberdan Bezzi's name appears at the bottom of the image. He has produced many exercises based on a manufacturer's design language. This could be a rendering.
Update: Ok, call me a moron. I just noticed that this "news" item is one of 18 posted by the artist. He usually starts his posts with something like "This is my design..." or "This is my idea...". In this case he didn't. It's presented as news.

I assume by "MCN", you mean Motorcycle News, and not Motorcycle Consumer News. If so... yeah, they're the John C. Dvorak of the motorcycle world. I figure they just assume that if you "predict" (read as: repeat every rumor) EVERYTHING, you'll eventually be right about SOMETHING.

Yep, Motorcycle News. While I absolutely agree with your assessment this one came courtesy of their "Readers News" feature. I felt a little foolish for posting before I realized that but taking the post down seemed a little dishonest. I'll admit to my mistake and move on.

Nah... nothing bad there at all. It's just a sad commentary when you have to double- and triple- fact check the journalists. Do you think journalists are sitting in a room somewhere asking each other, "Why does no one trust us any more?"
